Actually I should probably say in general the grapes of wrath puts communism on a pedestal and capitalism in the gutter.
Turns out in the 1940s the USSR approved the commie loving feature film to be released upon their people as to push anti-capitalist rhetoric. The grapes of wrath is quite an interesting subject since many capitalist enthusiasts have blinded themselves to what FDR and his communist regime did during the great depression, which was the very beginning of the communist takeover of America.
You may have heard about the recent rhetoric about "the green new deal" which me and other Republicans understandably fight against.
In my humble opinion I believe the great depression could've been a bad recession if it wasn't for pro-Communist politicians meddling in the framework of America.
Before these pro-Communist politicians were elected the economy was stagnant, a slight downturn from the roaring libertarian 1920s almost purely capitalist decade. The Democrats(also known as the Confederates before they dawned the white tipped hat and gown) used this downturn to push their agenda. The Republican opponent said we needed to stay calm and not over react during that time of recession(which only makes sense!) But the ones feeling the hit of the recession along with the fear mongering from the left pushed us into one of the worst decades in America since the civil war.
I could go on and on about the great depression as I've found myself as a libertarian and had to understand where America really fell off. As we all know here in 2019 that Hollywood is a great tool for propaganda and what rhetoric do 99% of Hollywood films promote? Leftist communist garbage, climate change fear mongering, while constantly being obsessed with race(Confederate evil never dies).
The grapes of wrath was yet another tool, one that didn't follow the book, one that made it seem as if government came to the rescue of so many on their deathbed.
The ones who promote the movie say negative things about the book.. because it was far more realistic, showing people dying from the communist take over.
The best part is the fact it includes the Fonda royalty in their full on "government is here to help" manifesto.
I really don't care if people believe me on this one, but if you brush this off without the due diligence of doing your personal research than I'd say you are only cheating yourself.
